Modern Western Square Dancing.

Square Dance Classes. 

Jim teaches square dance classes leading to either the mainstream or plus programs.   The Square Roots start three classes each year on Monday evenings at the Adelphi Mill Recreation Center in Adelphi, Maryland.  The Boomerangs of Lincolnia, Virginia start four classes each year on Wednesdays at the Lincolnia Senior Center.   email Jim or phone Jim at 301-257-1348.

Square Dance Parties, yes Square Dancing for everyone!

Want to include easy Square Dancing at you Next Party or Special Event?  Jim frequently does square dance parties for people who don't ordinarily square dance.  Square dance parties can be designed for children, adults, couples, singles, families, coworkers, or any other group that you can imagine.  Jim has even done parties for people with physical or developmental disabilities.  Parties will include square dancing, contra dancing, line dancing, and round dancing as appropriate to the ages and abilities of the attendees, the amount of time available, and your desires as event host or organizer.

A square dance can be part of a diverse range of events.  Jim and Ann have done wedding receptions, pre-wedding parties, church and synagogue socials, birthdays, company picnics, retreats, the Kennedy Center Open House Arts Festival, and an international symposium of high-energy particle beam physicists - you name it, we have probably done it or have done something like it.  Square dancing is a great recreation or entertainment for many types of events.  We'd like to talk to you about your special event.
